The high vertical range of manufacture enables HPW to respond flexibly to customer requirements regarding chemical and mechanical material properties, surface characteristics and wire dimensions. In its own melting shop, HPW produces, modifies and develops a wide range of over 50 different alloys.

MELTING SHOP

Nickel alloys are used at very high temperatures or against aggressive substances. The alloys are produced by ingot casting. The typical batch size (ingot weight < 1500 kg) allows cost-efficient development of new alloys. These are subsequently processed into round and flat wires.

Product overview

WELDING INDUSTRY

The technological properties of welding consumables are essential for the subsequent application. The nickel alloys developed by HPW are optimized in every respect and are used successfully by long-standing international customers.

ELECTRONICS

The increasing demands in the electronics industry require more and more customer-specific solutions. Expertise in metallurgy and process engineering is reflected in HPW's nickel alloys, which are continuously developed for niche markets.

OPTICS

In the optical industry, nickel is used as frame material for timeless eyewear shapes. The first-class processing properties as well as the surface quality of the round wires offered by HPW have been convincing for decades.

SPECIAL APPLICATIONS

The special nickel-based alloys developed by HPW are used, among other things, for the armoring of power supply cables or in the automotive industry. These are exposed to severe corrosion stresses. The requirements depend on the environmental conditions. HPW's flat wires often have to withstand the most adverse conditions for years.
