Auwiesenstrasse 2, 4030 Linz
The heart of the production of HPW high-performance wires is located in Linz, Upper Austria. The main factory, founded in 1946, covers a production area of 16,000 square meters. In Linz, HPW produces innovations for e-mobility and the energy transition of tomorrow. The Linz factory also boasts fully automated production of enameled copper flat wires. In recent years, the headquarters has been brought up to the latest technical and energy standards. The office and administration building has solar roofs for CO2-neutral and self-sufficient energy production.
Kochlergang 14, 4060 Leonding
The HPW extrusion center in Leonding is just a few minutes' drive from the headquarters in Linz. The modern location with a production area of 4,000 square meters opened in 2021. The flat and round wires with PEEK insulation are manufactured here and are used in electric motors with voltages of 800V and above (e.g. electric commercial vehicles). PEEK insulated wires also enable efficient fast charging (megawatt charging). In addition to the PEEK insulated flat wires, HPW produces busbars made of copper with different insulation systems such as PA12. The newly developed generation of bus bars made of aluminum leads to significant weight savings in the electric vehicle, space savings and an increase in range, which results from the weight savings.
Klosterstrasse 1, 4451 Garsten
Tradition meets modernity at the new HPW site in Garsten (Steyr district), the heart of the Austrian automotive industry: where once there was a dairy, HPW will be producing innovative high-performance wires for e-mobility from mid-2024. With a planned production area of 19,000 square metres, HPW's third site will also be the largest in terms of space. Initially, 60 jobs will be created at the new site, with a further expansion phase already planned for the medium term. PAI-insulated flat copper wires will be produced here from mid-2024 in order to meet the high demand.
